I don't own my own computer yet. I used to have a laptop, but it was a really old, really cheap one my dad got for me at a yard sale for $50. I used it for six months, then it broke down and I lost 88 pages worth of a novel I was working on.

Q: How many Transformers fans does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Eight. One to change it, and the rest to complain that the light bulb was so much better back in the 80s.
Some time ago i owned a computer, but it was very old and we bought to the former owner. But that computer gave tu us several problems, the last one well... it's beyond to repair. And because of that we prefered bought a PC (Laptop), and it's much better for me and my sister, we have two.

"Back away now, so that we can fight the next day, isn't an act of cowardice but a survival strategy"
A computer belonging to me? Well let's see, I've owned two monitors, one CRT, the current one being a vastly superior LCD. I've owned one keyboard, having borrowed an ancient-yet-awesome IBM monstrosity dubbed "Commander Clicky" due to its metal keys, and bought my current model, an LED-backlit gaming keyboard called a Saitek Cyborg.
I've owned two Antec tower-cases, three or four graffics cards, the current being a GeForce 8800 GS, three harddrives, a 40 gig, a 120 gig, and now a pleasantly spacious 640 gig. I still own my first mouse, a Logitec MX400 laser-tracker, and a Graphire 4 wacom tablet (A now discontinued model.)
This is my third PC. The first one I killed myself (still not sure how I did it, I deleted one file and the whole thing went kaput). The second one (which I bought 20 years later) had a nasty worm infection and my motherboard got fried soon after (the CPU had temperature issues before that, so I guess it was bound to happen).
This one is (I think) 4 or maybe even 5 years old already. I'm starting to consider replacing it, so I can use it to watch anime in HD (would cost too much to replace the parts needed to make this one compatible).
No, the problem is that computers get outdated too quickly due to processing power and memory capacity increasing with each new build.
My comp is 4 or so years old, but in technical terms, it's probably twice as old already. In those years, a lot of stuff has happened and my comp is now seriously falling behind. Even though it's still running fine, I need to upgrade it sooner or later, but replacing all the individual parts is time-consuming and I'd be better off just buying a new comp altogether.
