I am surprised and dismayed by the tween-style live-action shows piling up in what is SUPPOSED to be a cartoon channel.

So I am writing a letter and it goes something like this:

What part of the word "cartoon" don't you understand?

Really, I am very ashamed of you for not holding up to the channel's original purpose as a permanent house for all animated cartoons. What happened?

Of course, of course, there's nothing at all wrong with creating still another channel for the human infants, but that still says something about the general public's attitude toward animation, which would never have been invented without the very creation of filmmaking.

So to stop all that confusion when you start putting in live-action children's programs, why not start calling yourself "Children's Network"? Or better yet, "BN" - or "Brat Network", for short?

Good luck with destroying what's left of our great legacy that is animation.

I know, I'm being a bit anal, but what if the so-called CN starts spawning carefully groomed little tartlets like Miley Cyrus or even worse, Britney Spears???
